Message from the Owner

Dennis & I live in Richmond next to Garden Cottage, up the road from The Old Cello Workshop. Dennis runs his own business & I run our cottage business, help Dennis with his business and am kept busy looking after the garden. We have lived in both the cottages, which we renovated before building our new home, Mr. Yorke's Walled Garden (named for John Yorke, who built the 18th century walled kitchen garden for his Elizabethan home). We now open the garden for the NGS 'Yellow Book'.

Our two golden retrievers love our garden & all the local walks. We enjoy walks in the dales, the cinema & theatre as well as time with family and friends.Richmond is a fantastic place to live We are surrounded by interesting architecture and beautiful scenery in this lovely market town, which has 3 museums, Norman castle, abbey, gardens, park, Georgian Theatre, cinema, artisan shops, market & good pubs &restaurants. We share with our guests where the best restaurants, pubs & tea rooms are to be found.
