Instagram approves HVDFeed link

HVDFeed: Link approved by Instagram

I am really pleased to be able to announce that Instagram, a community of more than 800 million people who capture and share the world’s moments, has approved the HolidayViews Direct 'HVDFeed' application.

HVDFeed enables holiday accommodation owners to link their Instagram accounts to the HolidayViews Direct environment via the Instagram api(Application Programming Interface), enabling Instagram-hosted content to be regularly downloaded and presented inside an owner’s HolidayViews Direct accommodation listing. Owners who market their holiday let/vacation rental properties on HolidayViews Direct can now actively authorise Instagram to feed their most recent Instagram posts and images into their HolidayViews Direct accommodation listings.

With HVDFeed activated, a typical HolidayViews Direct listing now includes:

  • Owner contact information,
  • Property image,
  • Property slideshow(optional),
  • Property video(optional),
  • Website link,
  • Phone number,
  • Social media links,
  • Instagram image feed,
  • Property description,
  • Facilities specification,
  • Proximity map, and
  • Personal message from the accommodation owner

– in fact, everything a traveller needs to confidently make contact directly.

The application is one of several planned steps which will move HolidayViews Direct further towards our goal of providing all holiday rental accommodation owners who embrace the ‘Book Direct’ model with a conduit through which to promote their accommodation services directly to a global audience of prospective renters. By enabling independent owners to present a greatly enhanced, current and regularly updated visual perspective on their accommodation and local area, HolidayViews Direct gives travellers the confidence to consider booking directly with the owner.

HolidayViews Direct is committed to helping both owner and renter to communicate directly and agree the booking at the most attractive price in the marketplace, without necessitating the involvement of expensive 3rd parties.
